Linda Ruth Maggard Hooker was born on January 26, 1950 in Hyden, Ky. and passed away on April 25, 2015 at the University of Tennessee Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hooker and her son Justin Ryan Edward Hooker of London, Ky. Linda Ruth is also survived by her mother Oda Bowling and one brother James Charles Maggard of Big Creek, Ky. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Linda Ruth was preceded in death by her father, James Wilson Maggard her stepfather Clifton Bowling and her sister Peggy Jean Maggard.
Linda was a retired Kindergarden Teacher from the Clay County Board of Education. Linda Ruth was dedicated to her students and made learning fun, enjoyable and creative for all her students. She also brought the joy of learning to her nieces and nephews.
Linda Ruth was a devoted Mother and Wife, she loved every minute of being Justin's Mother. Linda's life was devoted to her family, friends and students. She was a joy to us all and will forever be in our hearts. Most of all she was a Christian. Heaven has gained a sweet Angel.
Funeral services for Linda Ruth Maggard Hooker will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday April 29, 2015 at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens, Manchester, Ky.
