Ruth Ann Jackson, age 78 of Bright Shade passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home.
She was born on June 22, 1936 at Bright Shade to the union of Burchell and Allie Grubb Jackson.
Ruth is survived by her children; Delmas Jackson and wife Judith of Big Creek, Sylvia Hubbard and husband Dewey of Cumberland Gap Tennessee and Quada Joyce Gray and husband Gerald of Troy Ohio. Her daughter in law Connie Jackson of Bright Shade and two sons in law; Johnny Brock of Harrogate Tennessee and Bige Messer of Goose Rock also survive.
She is also survived by three brothers; Robert Jackson and Wesley Jackson of Atlanta Georgia, two sisters: Essie Jackson of Garrard and Ruby Hubbard of Bright Shade, twelve grandchildren: Jody Messer, Heather Smith, Chris Hubbard, Jeremy Hubbard, Tonya Skidmore, Keith Brock, Nicholas Brock Joshua Jackson, Afton Jackson, Ashley Wagers, Lindsey Mitchell and Kasey Jackson, sixteen great-grandchildren; Cody Smith, Tex Wayne Sizemore, Thomas Messer, Gracie Skidmore, Breanna Hubbard, Hayden Jackson, Aubrei Jackson, Tyler Sizemore, Courtney Sizemore, Shawna Sizemore, Destiny Smith, Kassie Brock, Bradley Brock, Riley Brock, Braxton Lovins and Caiden Brock and two great-great grandchildren; Chase Smith, and Carter Sizemore.
She is preceded in death by her husband G.C. Jackson, her parents Burchell and Allie Grubb Jackson, her children; Randy Lane Jackson, Denzil Jackson, Glenda Brock and Brenda Messer, her daughter in law Patty Jackson, her grandchildren; Gregory Messer, Bridgette Jackson and Nathan Jackson and these brothers and sisters; Raymond Jackson, J. C. Jackson and Ella Mae Sizemore.
Funeral services for Ms Ruth Jackson will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 1 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Jones and Reggie Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery at Bright Shade.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening after 6 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
