Gladys Jean Williams, age 57 of Manchester departed this life on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born on Friday, July 11, 1958 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of the late Martin Jack and Martha Simpson Roark.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: Albert Roark (Tracey), Brenda Lawson (Billy Joe Henson), Randy Williams (Alisha Eversole), Marty Williams (Amber Marrow), Martha Williams (Willie Joe Henson), Ricky Williams (Jessica Odell), H. E. Williams, Arthur Williams (Lillie Mae Collins), 3 step children: Rufus Lawson (Sherry Mills), Martin Lawson (Crystal), and George Lawson (Tonya). Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters: Rufus Roark, Elizabeth Smallwood, Phroina Keller (Larry), and Mae Lawson.She is preceded in death by her parents: Martin Jack and Martha Roark, her sister: Goldie Smith, her aunt: Jane Roark, and her uncle: Hence Roark.
Funeral Services for Gladys Jean Williams will be held on Saturday, August 22, at 2 PM at the Mud Lick Church of the Brethren. Rev. Paul Mitchell, Rev. Bob Estep, Rev. Gary Dugger, Rev. Brandon Smith, Rev. Kenneth Smith, and Rev. Roscoe Roark will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery in the Asher’s Fork Community.
Visitation will be held on Thursday after 6 PM at the Mud Lick Church of the Brethren and on Friday at the church.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Rominger Funeral Home of Manchester, Kentucky.
