Mr. Herman Stevens, age 81, departed this life on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at his home.
He was born on Wednesday, March 7, 1934 in Clay County, Kentucky to the union of Dale and Nannie Smith Stevens. He was a minister and member at the Buzzard Holiness Church, worked in the steel mills in East Chicago, Illinois, and was retired from Daniel Boone Development.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife: Shirley Carlotta Stevens, his sons: Don Stevens and his wife Elizabeth and Jerry Stevens and Teresa. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Dave, Trent, Jay-D, Nikki, and Tyler, his great grandchild: Aaliyah, 2 step grandchildren: Owen and Gracie and these brothers and sisters: Ray Stevens and his wife Pat, Earl Stevens, Paul Stevens and his wife Mary, Edith Wagers, Myrtle Overby, and Sophia Stevens.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Dale and Nannie Stevens, and his brother: Earnest Stevens.
Funeral Services for Mr. Herman Stevens will be conducted on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1 PM at the Buzzard Holiness Church. Jimmy Bishop will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Stevens Cemetery in the Buzzard Community.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening after 6 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
