Joyce A. (Hampton) Scherf, age 68, of Sandusky, died Tuesday evening, January 5, 2016, in Parkvue Healthcare Center, Sandusky, following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 9, 1947, in Corbin, KY, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1965. Joyce attended Fellowship Baptist Church, Sandusky.
She is survived by her husband Terry Scherf; daughter Kimberly Ann Scherf, Sandusky; son Kevin Scherf, Sandusky; mother Edna (Brown) Hampton, Kentucky; two grandchildren Kendra Lynn Scherf, Sandusky, and Kyle Scherf, North Carolina; two sisters Mildred (Jim) Barton, Castalia, and Janice (Jack) Joseph, Kentucky; brother James (Anita) Hampton, Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father Albert Hampton and sister Jeanette in infancy.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM Friday, January 8, 2016, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, and from 2:00 PM Sunday, January 10, 2016, until time of services at 3:00 PM at Rominger Funeral Home, 402 Richmond Road, Manchester, KY.
Pastor Charlie Hubbard of Zion Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
