Mr. Steve Barrett, Jr., age 81, of Newport, KY departed this life on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at his home. He was born June 4, 1934 in Clay County, Kentucky to Steve and Ada (Baker) Barrett. He was a machinist.
He is survived by his wife: Virginia (Allen) Barrett; and his son: Dennis Barrett; and 2 grandchildren: Brittany Jean Nogueras and husband, Nathan and David Michael Barrett and 2 great grandchildren: Annabella Nogueras and Nathan Nogueras, Jr. Also surviving are 3 sisters: Rhoda Hensley, Betty Allen and Nettie Lovins.
He is preceded in death by his son: David Lee Barrett and his parents: Steve and Ada Barrett, and these brothers and sisters: Virgie Barrett, Lucy Byrd, Hubert Barrett, Gilbert Barrett, Henry Barrett, Kenus Barrett, Sarah Barrett, Chester Barrett, and Bob Barrett.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 18, 2016 at 1:00 P. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Joey Burns will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery in the Oneida Community.
Visitation will be Monday, January 18, 2016 after 10:30 A. M. at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel until funeral time.
