Mr. Charles "Mater" Mays, 68, of Manchester passed away Tuesday, January 26th 2016 at his home. He was a retired railroad superintendent.
Mr. Mays is survived by his son Nicholas Mays and wife Tyneal of Clarksville, Tennessee, his daughter Heather Gambrell and husband Steven of Manchester and these brothers and sisters; Berton Mays of Indianapolis, Indiana, John L. Mays of Bellview, Florida, Esther Dennis of Manchester and Edith Mays of Ocala Florida.
He is also survived by two grandchildren; Zachariah Purtlebaugh and Zane Purtlebaugh.
Mr Mays is preceded in death by his wife Joann Gambrell Mays and his parents Claude and Catherine Hicks Mays.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Mays will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 29th 2016 at the Britton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Manchester Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at 6 PM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home.
