Ms. Maggie Messer, 83, of Mill Creek passed away Monday, May 2nd, 2016 at her home. She was saved in 1950 and has been a member of the Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church since 1950.
Ms. Messer is survived by her children; Bige Messer of Mill Creek, Kenneth Messer and wife Joyce of Cannon, KY, Vernon Messer and wife Carolyn of London and Delmer Messer and wife Ruby of Manchester, Virginia Broughton and husband Rev. Ricky Broughton of Cannon and Connie Jackson of London.
She is also survived by her sister Edith Yeager of Columbus, Ohio, her brother Arthur Grubb of Georgetown, KY, her daughter in law Della Messer, twenty seven grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Messer is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Messer, her parents Jeff and Minda Smallwood Grubb, her sons Bruce Messer and Rev. Isaac Messer, her daughter in law Brenda Messer, three grandchildren, Bruce Messer Jr, Bige Gregory Messer and Amanda Sizemore, eight brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services for Ms. Maggie Messer will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 6th, 2016 at the Hubbard Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Herman Mills, Bro. Leighman Messer, Bro Tim Phipps and Bro Ricky Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
