Mr. Dexter Scott Napier was born October 25,1960 at Hyden, Ky. He passed away at the age of 55 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Napier, and his maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Martha Bowling, and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Miley Napier.
He leaves surviving to mourn his passing his son, Baron Scott Napier and wife Amanda of Gooserock, Ky., and two daughters, Natasha Darlene Short and husband Jesse of Richmond, Ky and Dakota Kali Napier of Gooserock, Ky. He also leaves his mother, Carrie Napier of Big Creek, Ky., and two brothers, Roland Napier and wife Mary Frances of Manchester, Ky., and Wendell Napier of Big Creek, Ky. Dexter also leaves six grandsons, Keaton and Preston Napier, Liam and Sully Short, and Blayze and Axel Napier. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Dexter was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.
Funeral services for Dexter Scott Napier will be held at 2:00 PM Monday July 18 th, 2016 at the Flat Creek Church of the Brethern, with Dwayne Yost and Cleve Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Orville Napier Cemetery at Red Bird.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the Flat Creek Church of the Brethern.
