Mrs. Ruth J. Martin, age 68, of Manchester, departed this life on Sunday, August 14th, 2016 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky.
She is survived by one brother: Gilbert Jones of Manchester, along with two sisters: Opal Mitchell of Manchester, and Roma Angel of Covington, Kentucky. She is also survived by the following friends: Daisy Curry, Wanda Begley, Betty Bussell, Nancy Meadows, Kathy, and Karen Beglen.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Martin, her son, Charles Martin, and two sisters: Nellie McCoy and Ruby Hoskins. She is also preceded in death by her parents: Charlie Jones and Lillie Holland Jones.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17th, at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with John Robinson Jr. and Cletus Miracle officiating. A burial will follow in the Manchester Memorial Gardens.
The Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 16th, at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel.
