Richard White Wilson, age 66, of Manchester, KY went to meet his heavenly Father on Sunday, September 11, 2016, after a brave battle with cancer.
A loving husband and father, Richard leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 47 years, Sharon Wilson. He also leaves behind two daughters; Lisa Brown and her husband Jimmy of Manchester, KY, Kim Younts and her husband Joe Younts from Oneida, KY; one son, Tim Wilson and his wife Deanna from McKee, KY. He is also survived by the following grandchildren: Dylan Barrett and his wife Brittany, Logan Barrett, Jonathan Wilson and his girlfriend Samantha Carpenter, Keith Brown, Kelsee Gaydos, Austin Brown, and Grace Brown; two great grandchildren, Carson Wilson and Dawson Barrett; one sister, Cleo Gilbert and the late Steve Gilbert from Annville, KY. Two brothers, Jim Wilson and his wife Joyce from Manchester, KY and Bill White and his wife Michelle from Floyds Knob, IN and a host of family and friends.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Jeanette Wilson.
Richard was a member of the Pleasant Point Baptist Church and retired from James River Coal Company after 36 years of dedicated service.
Funeral service 1:00PM Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Lakes Funeral Home in McKee, KY with Bro. Frank Peters, Bro. Bobby Stephens and Bro. James Cornett officiating. Burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery.
