More than 400,000 Kentuckians are eligible for tax refund

BEREA, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear has joined local officials and representatives from regional Asset Building Coalitions at Berea College to launch his annual campaign to urge eligible Kentuckians to apply for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a refundable federal tax credit for low- and middle-income working individuals and families.

FRANKFORT, Ky. Halfway through the winter season, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has spent $27 million on snow and ice removal. This figure reflects costs of all kinds – labor, equipment, materials and contractors.

Attorney General Conway Tours Substance Abuse Treatment Facility for Pregnant Women

Attorney General Jack Conway on Wednesday toured Chrysalis House, a facility in Lexington, Ky. that provides substance abuse treatment for pregnant women.  The facility is receiving $600,000 over two years from settlements Attorney General Conway secured from two pharmaceutical companies.

Kentucky Arts Council selects Paducah sculptor as featured artist
