KSP Post 9 Drug Interdiction Unit arrest 4 Suspects, seize Meth, Heroin and Cash in Southeastern Kentucky

BETSY LAYNE, KY (March 3, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reporting the arrest of four individuals on March 01, 2023 after illegal drugs were discovered during a traffic stop.

A KSP Trooper with Post 9’s Drug Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop in the Betsy Layne community of Floyd County after observing an equipment violation on a Silver 2015 Kia Optima.

While conducting a search of the vehicle and its occupants, quantities of suspected Methamphetamine and Heroin were seized.  Additionally, drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash were seized.

Jeremy Boyd, 39, of Banner, KY was arrested on charges of:

  • Improper Equipment
  • Operating Vehicle with Expired Operators License
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Heroin)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Failure to Produce Insurance Card

James Huff, 56, of Pippa Passes, KY was arrested on charges of:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Heroin)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Shawna Huff, 44, of Pippa Passes, KY was arrested on charges of:

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Heroin)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Pamela Hall, 38, of Printer, KY was arrested on charges of

  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)
  • Trafficking Controlled Substance (Heroin)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

These four individuals were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
