Nationwide Threat of Terrorist Attacks Taken Seriously in Southeast Kentucky with Police on Round-the-Clock Patrols in London and Laurel County

LONDON, KY - The London Police Department is reporting that: On Friday October 13, 2023, Laurel County Sheriff John Root and London Police Chief Chuck Johnson reminded everyone to stay vigilant in reference to a nationwide threat of terrorist attacks in various parts of the United States.

Sheriff Root and Chief Johnson "The safety of all our residents and visitors to our area is a top priority issue for both the Laurel County Sheriff's Office and the London Police Department."

"While we do not have any credible or specific information of any threats to any location in London or Laurel County, we will continue to provide round-the-clock patrols of the city and county and will be monitoring any situation that may occur."
