COLLISION ON INTERSTATE 65 IN WARREN COUNTY, KENTUCKY UPDATED FROM INJURY TO FATAL

BOWLING GREEN, KY- On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) reported, that through preliminary investigation, KSP Post 3 has learned that on Tuesday, October 17th, 2023, Sharon Locke-Racz, age 78 of Bronston KY, was operating a 2018 Buick SUV northbound on Interstate 65 in the area of the 27 mile marker, when her vehicle was struck by a 2008 Toyota passenger car operated by Arruice Stafford aged 21 of Bowling Green KY.

Locke-Racz’s vehicle then exited the roadway and overturned. Locke-Racz was transported from the scene to Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee by Air-methods where she was later pronounced deceased.

Arruice Stafford was transported from the scene by Medical Center EMS to The Medical Center of Bowling Green where he was treated and released.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Kentucky State Police Post 3

Bowling Green, Ky. (10/17/2023) –On October 17th, 2023 Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green was notified of a collision near the 27 mile maker on the northbound side of Interstate 65 in the limits of Warren County.  Multiple KSP Post 3 Troopers as well as other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

The preliminary investigation indicates that there were two (2) vehicles involved in the collision, at least one (1) person has been injured, and that all three lanes of Interstate 65 on the northbound side will be closed for an undetermined amount of time as Troopers and other emergency personnel continue to process the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Kentucky State Police Post 3.
