Grant Provides New Body Armor for MPD Officers in Manchester, Kentucky

MANCHESTER, KY - The Manchester Police Department (MPD) is reporting that by using a grant from an area organization, MPD's old and out of date body armor has been replaced.

On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, the Manchester Police Department posted on their Facebook page that Manchester Mayor Steve Collins and Police Chief Jeff Couch had announced, that through a grant from the Cumberland Valley Add Board, all Officers with the Manchester Police Department now have new body armor.

The MPD Officers old body armor was bad out of date.

Mayor Collins and Chief Couch stated that "The safety of our officers is top priority"!
