LONDON, KY - Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Zach Allen arrested John Spears age 36 of London on Friday night December 22, 2023 at approximately 9:57 PM.
The arrest occurred on Old Whitley Road near London after Deputy Allen was dispatched to a complaint that a vehicle had hit a utility pole and wrecked into a yard on KY 1006.
Upon arrival at the scene Deputy Allen conducted an investigation and noted detecting a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from the driver.
Following the investigation, the driver identified as 36 year-old John Spears of London, KY was taken into custody and transported to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
John Spears was charged with:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
