●Did you know that the #1 fear of most adults is public speaking?  If only they had participated in their 4-H Speech and Demonstration Contest!  Now is the time to begin working on a speech or demonstration to present at the 2015 Clay County 4-H Talk Meet and Demonstration Contest on Friday, January 23rd at the EXCEL Center.  Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the program starting at 6:00 pm. You must pre-register for this event! ●Do you sing, dance, play an instrument, comedy, dramatic readings, or perform in any other way? This is an opportunity to showcase your talents.  Clay County 4-H will host the Annual 4-H Variety Show on Friday, January 30th at 6:00 pm at the EXCEL Center. Performers will need to be there no later than 5:30 pm.

The 4-H Variety Show can help you learn to be creative, to plan, and to practice teamwork, as well as build poise and confidence.  This is a variety show rather than a talent contest, and judges will be looking at the entertainment value of your act.  Let your imagination run. This is your chance to shine!

Registration is required by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23rd. To register, call the Extension office at 598-2789 or stop by and sign up.  The 4-H Variety Show is FREE to all youth ages 9-19!

Educational programs of the Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability or national origin.
