Manchester, Ky. - MPD is reporting that on Thursday, February 12, 2015 Manchester Police Officer Kelly Johnson responded to Walmart to investigate an intoxicated male causing a disturbance inside the store.
Upon arrival Officer Johnson located Michael Reid, of Manchester.
During the investigation it was determined Reid was under the influence and was reporting he had lost his 2 year old child in the store.
Walmart placed the store on lock down in an attempt to locate the child but did not locate anyone matching the description of the child.
Police made contact with the child's mother and learned the child was with her at her residence and had been there the entire time.
Reid was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct and lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
