Update on traffic crash on KY 80 from March 16, 2015 - Victims identified

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root reports the following updated information on a serious injury traffic crash that occurred on Russell Dyche Memorial Highway, 4 miles west of London, at the intersection of Abbuhl Road on Monday afternoon March 16th, 2015 at approx. 3:08 P.M..

The driver and only occupant of the silver colored Toyota SUV is identified as Barbara Sizemore age 58 of London – ejected from her vehicle and received serious injuries flown to UK Med Center from the scene.

The driver of the black colored S-10 pickup is identified as Steve Hamm age 58 of Somerset - received serious injuries and was flown from the scene to UK med Center and passenger identified as Danny Stone age 64 of Somerset - received serious injuries and was flown from the scene to UK Med Center.

Deputy Kyle Gray reports that apparently the silver colored Toyota SUV attempted to cross the Russell Dyche Memorial Highway and failed to observe a westbound black S-10 pick up truck in the lane beside a west bound tractor trailer.

The SUV and the pickup truck collided and both vehicles came to rest off the road.

Investigation into the crash continues by Deputy Kyle Gray and Capt. Chuck Johnson.
