KSP NEWS RELEASE - Murder Investigation / Rockcastle County

(LONDON, KY.) – On Tuesday, June 02, 2015 at approximately 11:16 PM Kentucky State Police Post 11, London was notified by the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office of a deceased female inside of a residence on Red Hill RD in the Livingston community of Rockcastle County.

The victim was discovered by a Deputy Sheriff who was conducting a welfare check on the home owner.

KSP Detectives arrived on the scene and discovered the victim, Mary A. Hinton, 86, of Livingston, KY deceased. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of death has not been determined at this time, but foul play is suspected. The victims body will be transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

KSP Detective John Barnett is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by KSP Detective Ryan Loudermilk, Trooper Brian Maupin, Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office and the Rockcastle County Coroner’s Office.
