FREE programs offered by the Clay County Extension Office for August

Bug Pest Control Training will be held August 21st from 10:00 am - 1:30 pm at the Clay County Extension Office.  Are you worried about bugs you may find in your home, apartment, business or hotel?  This program will help you to identify and control bugs you may find.  Lee Townsend and Mike Potter from the University of Kentucky will be presenting the program for us.  CEU requests have been requested from Frankfort.   This program can be attended by any person, educational institution, business, office management, etc. that needs information on bug management.  FREE & open to the public!  You must call 598-2789 to register.

♦Our next 4-H Teen Club meeting will be on August 28th at the 6:00 pm at the EXCEL Center (beside McDonalds). If you are between the ages of 12 – 17 and are looking for something different to be involved in and still trying to find where you might fit in 4-H could be for you. It is an opportunity to be involved in something new and unique. There will be at least one teen club meeting every month. They don’t all have to be attended and you can join any time. So come check it out and see if 4-H is right for you!  For more information call 598-2789.
