Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Brandon Broughton along with Deputy Tommy Houston and Deputy Keith Dinsmore arrested James Proffitt age 39 of Rough Creek Rd., London on Friday evening July 11, 2015 at approximately 5:12 PM.
The arrest occurred off Fariston road, approximately 4 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of male subject creating a disturbance armed with a gun.
When deputies arrived at the scene they located this subject inside a residence and following a short scuffle with the subject he was taken into custody. This subject continued to yell and curse deputies all the way to the police cruiser creating a disturbance there. James Proffitt was charged with disorderly conduct – second-degree and menacing and was lodged in the Laurel County detention Center.
