Leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic violations

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Andrew Lawson along with Bailiff Cody Faulconer and Constable Denver Mays arrested Brandon Allen age 19 of Echo Valley Rd., Lily early Saturday morning July 25, 2015 at approximately 5:05 AM.

The arrest occurred on Old Hare road, approximately 7 miles north of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a vehicle had wrecked on Old Hare Road and that the driver had left the scene in a white car.

When Deputy Lawson arrived at the scene he observed a maroon colored Ford F150 off the road with damage. Constable Mays located the driver of the wrecked vehicle a short time later – he was a passenger in the white colored vehicle. He stated that he had wrecked his vehicle and had had a friend come pick him up.

An investigation was conducted and this subject was determined to be under the influence.

Brandon Allen was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – under the age of 21; leaving the scene of an accident; and other traffic violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
