Escapee with extensive arrest record being sought

Escapee has previous addresses of Corbin, Clay County, and most recently Tom Cat Trail, London.

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting the escape of a male subject from Blackburn correctional facility in Lexington is on Tuesday, August 18, 2015.

The escapee is identified as:

Richard Todd Shell age 42 described as being 6 foot tall, 200 pounds brown hair and blue eyes.

He has previous addresses of Corbin, Clay County, and most recently Tom Cat Trail, London.

This subject has an extensive arrest record in this area including fleeing and evading police on foot, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance third degree, robbery, being a fugitive from Pennsylvania, and persistent felony offender.

Most recently, this subject received a seven-year prison sentence on a charge of receiving stolen property in Laurel Circuit Court.
