Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Jason Back along with Detective James Sizemore and Deputy Josh Scott arrested three individuals on Tuesday morning, September 22, 2015, at approximately 11 AM.
The arrests occurred off of Somerset Road approximately 3 miles west of London after the Sheriff's office conducted a drug investigation and located three subjects with oxycodone, used needles, and an EBT card not belonging to the rightful owner. In addition, at least one subject was wanted on numerous outstanding warrants.
Arrested was Courtney McHargue-Stacy, age 24, of Old Union Springs Dr., London. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – opiates; possession of drug paraphernalia – this subject was found in possession of numerous used needles and oxycodone.
In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court regarding a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument second-degree; a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging theft by unlawful taking – firearm. This subject allegedly took a handgun out of a vehicle that did not belong to her; a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court for a revocation hearing regarding a charge of fraudulent use of a credit card; a Laurel County warrant of arrest charging trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – by allegedly trafficking in meth- amphetamine; a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of operating a suspended or revoked operators license.
Also arrested was Rachel Doan, age 33, of London Ave., Corbin. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense; and knowingly fraudulently using ID card or electronic code for benefits.
Also arrested was Shawn Asher, II, age 27, of Court Rd., London, charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
