Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Denise Moore age 41 of Wise Owl Rd., Keavy on Saturday afternoon November 7, 2015 at approximately 4:15 PM.
The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject.
When Deputy Cloyd arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation he learned that this subject had allegedly been observed switching prices on merchandise and failing to pay for some merchandise. Total value of the theft was $37.88.
Denise Moore was charged with theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. In addition she was charged on a Knox County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of alcohol intoxication in a public place.
Also this subject was charged on a Laurel County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court on a charge of public intoxication – controlled substances.
Denise Moore was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
