(LONDON, KY.) – On Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at approximately 12:50 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of two residential burglaries on Club Valley Estates Road in Laurel County.
Upon arrival, Troopers Jack Riley and Donnie Foley determined that thefts had occurred at both homes resulting in a combined loss of over $28,500 in jewelry and electronics. Troopers also learned that the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a burglary that occurred off Crooked Creek Road and Club Valley Estates that resulted in the loss of over $10,000 in jewelery and other items that same day.
On Wednesday, November 18, 2015, KSP Post 6, Dry Ridge Troopers and Scott County Sheriff’s Office Deputies got into a pursuit of a silver Nissan Maxima on I-75 just north of Lexington. After getting the vehicle stopped, two male subjects were arrested. A third fled on foot and is still at large. Inside the vehicle, officers located some of the stolen items from the burglaries the day before that occurred in Laurel County.
On Tuesday, December 01, 2015, Trooper Jack Riley charged Christopher Wooten, 20, and David Martavious, 19, both of Fort Lauderdale, FL with Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking over 10,000. The third subject that fled on foot has been identified as Kareem J. Brown, 20, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and is still at large. Warrants have been issued for his arrest.
Troopers Riley and Foley are continuing their respective investigations. Additional charges are expected.
