LSO deputies attempting to serve arrest warrants make three arrests

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Kevin Berry along with Sgt. Brett Reeves, Deputy John Inman, and Deputy Craig Sutton arrested three individuals at Corbin Manor apartments off American Greeting Card Road, approximately 10 miles south of London on Tuesday morning, February 16, 2016, at approximately 10:45 A.M while attempting to serve arrest warrants on two male subjects believed to be at that location.

When deputies arrived at the scene, a female subject there – Jennifer Biffle, told deputies that the male subjects were not in the residence, however, deputies found the two individuals hiding – one male subject (Cory Garlic) in a bedroom closet and the other male subject (Christopher Garlic) in the bathroom of the residence.

In addition, a fourth subject at the residence, who was apparently the girlfriend of Christopher Garlic, became disruptive when deputies arrested her boyfriend and she became belligerent yelling and cursing and creating a disturbance around other area residents there.

The three subjects arrested were identified as: the two subjects being sought on arrest warrants – Christopher Garlic, 25, of Hell for Certain Road, Hyden, KY., charged on two bench warrants of arrest for failure to appear in court.

Also arrested was Cory Garlic, age 26, of Corbin Manor apartments, Corbin, charged on a Leslie County Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest for bail jumping – first-degree. This subject was also charged on a Leslie County Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding a charge of flagrant nonsupport. In addition, this subject was charged on a Boone County bench warrant of arrest for failure to appear in court regarding several traffic offenses.

A third person arrested was reportedly the girlfriend of Christopher Garlic and was identified as Cassandra Hornsby, age 25, of HWY. 80, Hyden, charged with disorderly conduct - second-degree and resisting arrest.

Three subjects were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

A fourth subject was the female subject who answered the door stating no subjects were inside - this subject was identified as Jennifer Biffle, age 23, of Corbin Manor Apartments, Corbin, charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension – second-degree, and was issued a court date.
