Laura Sandlin House, who departed this life on February 11, 2016 at the age of 93 years old, was a virtuous woman. She was a successful business woman and blessing to her family, friends, and community.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card,
Or sat quietly in a chair;
Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers,
If so, we saw them there.
Perhaps you sent or spoke kind words,
As a friend would do or say;
Perhaps you were not there at all
Just thought of us that day.
Whatever you did to console the heart,
We thank you dearly for your part.
While it is not possible to mention everyone who consoled our hearts by name here, we give special thanks to Tri-County Hospice; Britton’s Funeral Home; Clay County Sheriff’s Department; Manchester City Police Department; Lockard’s Creek Volunteer Fire Department; Manchester Baptist Church; Pastor Ken Bolin and his wife, Carol Bolin; the musicians at the funeral, Luci Smith, Eddie McHenry, and Steve Dickerson; Judge Oscar G. House; Mike Baker; Bryan Lewis; and everyone who served as a pallbearer, brought food to our homes and\or Manchester Baptist Church; and\or sent cards, gifts, and\or flowers.
Again, we also sincerely thank the many dedicated caregivers who provided quality care to Laura S. House in her home for almost nine years prior to her passage from this life on February 11, 2016.
