Criminal Abuse Arrest in Knox County


(Harlan, Ky.) – On March 29, 2016 Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call to assist the Knox County Social Services with a criminal abuse complaint at Corbin Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. KSP Detective Jake Wilson responded to the hospital and began an investigation.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a three year old was taken to the hospital after Knox Social Services received a call from the school that the child attends.

Det. Wilson interviewed both parents at the hospital and through his investigation was able to arrest the father, Creighton Hill, 42, of Corbin and charge him with criminal abuse 2nd degree. The three year old had bruises and cuts on its face, head, chest, back, arms, and legs. The child was checked out by the hospital and then released. The three year old and two other children were removed from the residence and placed with other family members.

Mr. Hill was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. At this time, more arrests and charges are pending. Case is still under investigation by Det. Jake Wilson.
