Two Laurel County inmates charged with first-degree criminal mischief

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Cpl. Jack Caudill along with Deputy Craig Sutton charged two Laurel County inmates with criminal mischief, first-degree, after the two individuals were returned to the Laurel County Detention Center from Laurel County Family Court on Monday afternoon, April 4, 2016, at approximately 2:30 PM.

Apparently, the two individuals had been taken to Family Court and were being returned to the Laurel County detention facility handcuffed when court security officer Sean Hayre, assisted by court security officer John Dyche, discovered that the two individuals had damaged the handcuffs that were being used to transport them safely to the detention facility.

The two individuals are identified as William M. Asher, age 35, of East Maple Ave., London, and Brian Litteral, age 38, of Prewitt Rd., Corbin ---both individuals charged with criminal mischief – first-degree.  The two individuals continue to be lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
