LSO make warrant arrest on theft charges


Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Deputy Rick Cloyd along with Deputy Charlie Johnson arrested a male subject of John Parker Rd., London, on Sunday afternoon, April 24, 2016, at approximately 5:33 P.M.

Arrested was David Asher, age 41.  The arrest occurred off Hart Church Road, approximately 3 miles west of London after deputies were dispatched by Laurel 911 dispatch center after they received a call from probation and parole reporting that this subject was located there.

When deputies arrived at the scene they confirmed that this subject was inside the residence and that there was a birthday party going on inside with children present and that residents there would get this subject to come outside.  After several minutes, this subject did not exit the residence and deputies entered the residence and found this subject standing in a bathroom.

David Asher was charged with theft by deception including cold checks under $10,000. Allegedly, the warrant states this subject purchased a Ford F250 from a car lot in London on March 26, 2016, paying $9500 cash down and owing a balance of $4500.

On April 1, 2016, this subject went back to the car lot and wrote a check. However, the bank could not locate an account. The car lot attempted to contact this subject, however, he would not answer his phone. The car lot obtained a warrant of arrest.
