Clay County man behind bars in Laurel County accused of Promoting Contraband and other charges

LONDON KY—On Sunday, May 15th at 5 a.m. London Police responded to a call at Wal-Mart regarding an intoxicated male.

Through investigation, Jamie N. Sizemore, 27, was arrested.

When Officer Stephen Sparks arrived he noticed Sizemore’s slurred speech and lack of balance. Upon arresting Sizemore, Officer Sparks located a plastic bag containing marijuana within Sizemore’s pants pocket.

Through a search at the Laurel County Detention Center, a round sealed container hidden within Sizemore’s body was recovered.

Discovered within the container was 1.3 grams of methamphetamine, 24-2mg Xanax bars, and one 30mg Oxycodone.

Sizemore was arrested and charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance excluding alcohol, possession of marijuana, first-degree promoting contraband, two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

According to jail records this subject is a Clay County man from Greasey Road in Manchester, KY that's currently being held on a $10,000.00 cash bond with a court date set for May 24, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
