Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Deputy Gilbert Acciardo provided child identification by fingerprinting children at the annual Family Day at the Kentucky National Guard 1st/149 Infantry Battalion headquarters in Barbourville on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
Also in attendance were troops and their families from Williamsburg and Somerset.
Pictured is Deputy Acciardo fingerprinting Olivia, one of the many children in attendance.
The fingerprints are then given to parents for safekeeping in the event that their child is ever lost or missing, the completed child identification form assists law enforcement in locating missing children.
