LEXINGTON, KY— (Wednesday, February 1, 2023) - The U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Kentucky is reporting that a Lexington man, Michael Byrd, 34, was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison on Monday, by Chief U.S. District Judge Danny Reeves, for conspiracy to distribute fluorofentanyl, possession with intent to distribute 100 grams or more of fluorofentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute 10 grams or more of fluorofentanyl.

Defendant allegedly defrauded the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government as part of Money Mule Scheme

LEXINGTON, KY – A Houston woman, Shimea Maret McDonald, 24, has been indicted by a federal grand jury, on one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, one count of providing fraudulent statements to a federally insured financial institution, and three counts of identity theft.
