Charles Edward Burkhart, age 61 departed this life on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Hazard ARH in Hazard, Kentucky. He was born on Tuesday, October 23, 1956 in Oneida, Kentucky to James William Burkhart and Maudie Marie Brewer Harris. He was a farmer and a member of the Morgan Branch Baptist Church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Donna Gilbert Burkhart, his children: Jennifer Burkhart, Clyde Delong, Jr., Jeff Burkhart and his wife Rebecca, Cecil Edward Burkhart, Rachel Bowling and her husband Joshua and William Burkhart and his wife Bethany. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: James Burkhart and Stephanie, Rachel Jones, Ethel Harris and her husband Robert, Rosemary Doan and her husband James, Gale Timmins and her husband Aubrey, Dale Burkhart, Cecil Wayne Burkhart, Curtis Lee Burkhart and Maudie Catherine Caldwell and her husband Clifford and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: James William Burkhart and Maudie Marie Harris, his son: Charles Burkhart, Jr. and his brothers: James William Burkhart, Jr. and Tracy Burkhart.
A celebration of life for Charles Edward Burkhart will be conducted on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Morgan Branch Baptist Church. Rev. Scotty Jewell and Rev. Carmen Brewer will be presiding. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Fogertown Community.
Visitation will be held on Friday evening after 6:30 PM at the Morgan Branch Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Rominger Funeral Home.
