Senator McConnell introduced the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act
LOUISVILLE, KY – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced Tuesday nine Kentucky airports received a total of $94.5 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to strengthen local infrastructure and improve the traveler experience. The federal funding, distributed through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP), includes nearly $11.9 million from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Senator McConnell introduced the CARES Act, which became the largest financial rescue package in history, and led it to enactment in about a week.
