Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Jason Back along with Sheriff John Root, Lieut. Greg Poynter, and Detective Kevin Berry arrested a male subject of Cabin Creek Rd., London, on Friday evening, February 19, 2016, at approximately 5:31 PM.
Arrested was Willie Sloan, age 37. The arrest occurred off Faith Assembly Church Road in London after Sheriff John Root and Laurel County deputies found this subject in possession of a large quantity of marijuana packaged for resale, over $1,000 in US currency, and a handgun.
This subject was charged with trafficking in marijuana first offense and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Photo attached is courtesy of the Laurel County Detention Center.
Investigations into illegal drug activities will be continuing on a daily basis by the Laurel County Sheriff's office.
