He was born on September 9, 1959, to the union of Charles and Ester Brumley Marcum. He was a coal miner/superintendent, who once held many records for the amount of coal production his crew had ran. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend.

She was born on Tuesday, July 9, 1935 in Manchester, Kentucky to the union of Rowland and Thelma Curry Brown. She worked for the Clay County Board of Education as a bus driver and was a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church.

Lutha was born in Manchester, KY on July 18, 1944, a daughter of the late Virgie (Henson) and Anderson Stewart. She was a seamstress.
