I would like to start by explaining that I work with a local Farmers Market and today we hosted a Face Painting Company to entertain the children at Market. I joined in on the fun and had my face painted with the kids. Once I was home from work, I made a quick trip before dinner to the local grocery monopoly, IGA.

Last night, President Obama made a statement addressing the current crisis in Iraq. He announced that he authorized two operations in the country: "targeted airstrikes to protect our American personnel, and a humanitarian effort to help save thousands of Iraqi civilians who are trapped on a mountain without food and water and facing almost certain death."

AUGUSTA - Governor Paul R. LePage announced Wednesday the State of Maine is moving forward with its plan to conduct drug tests of convicted drug felons who are applying for or receiving welfare benefits.

Program That Prepares Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired for College Highlights Opportunity, Teaches Independence

AUGUSTA - Maine Department of Labor's Division for the Blind and Visually Impaired, part of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, is running a second year of its College Vision Quest program this summer. CVQ allows students who are blind or have a visual impairment to try college life for a month.
