Obituary for Walter Morgan

Mr. Walter Morgan, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY, at the age of 70 years old. He was born on Sept. 24, 1950 in Leslie County the son of the late Henry and Eva Sizemore Morgan. By occupation Walter was a retired coal miner, and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County with the exception of having lived in Laurel County the past year and a half.

Walter was affiliated with the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church at Asher, KY.

He liked turkey, deer and squirrel hunting and enjoyed vegetable gardening. Walter loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Ruth Hooker Kurtz, age 74 departed this life on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Baptist Health in Corbin. She was born on Saturday, November 9, 1946 in Manchester to Tom and Etta Gibson Hooker.

Bill was born in Chattanooga, TN on July 29th, 1943, a son of the late Dewey and Lorene Simmons Debusk Campbell. He served a tour in Vietnam with the US Army’s -Big Red One/ 1st Infantry Division -5th Artillery- B Company. His rank in the military was Spec 4.
