John "Buck" Massey, age 64 went to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at the AdventHealth of Manchester. He was born Wednesday, July 20, 1960 in Corbin, Kentucky to J. B. and Blanche Gregory Massey. He was a member of the Horse Creek Baptist Church and a truck driver for Buck Massey Trucking, Co. Buck loved his family, his dogs, his friends but most importantly, he loved his Lord and Savior. Buck impacted many lives and never met a stranger. He will leave a legacy that will never be forgotten or fade away.
Claudia L. Smallwood, age 91 departed this life on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born on Tuesday, April 11, 1933 in Manchester to Holt and Lillie Chadwell Jarvis. She was member of the Island Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a cook for the Clay County Board of Education, working at the Clay County High School and Manchester Elementary School, she also worked at the Caron Spinning Thread Company and loved her flowers dearly.
