Auditor’s office releases results of special examination relating to requirements of Senate Bill 2

FRANKFORT, Ky. (August 27, 2019) – Kentucky Retirement Systems (KRS) and Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) have failed to comply with a law passed two years ago requiring increased transparency in Kentucky’s public retirement systems.  That’s the conclusion reached in a special examination released today by Kentucky Auditor Mike Harmon’s office.

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on August 26, 2019 at approximately 3:50 PM Clay County Sheriff Sgt. Jeremy Gabbard arrested Brandon Truett, 30 of Annville and Chester Arnett, 43 of Essie.

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Joey Robinson along with Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Travis Napier, and Deputy Brent France arrested Ernest wagers age 55 of London on Tuesday night August 20, 2019 at approximately 7:15 PM.

FRANKFORT (August 24, 2019) — Calling decades-old state incentives that have led to county jail overcrowding “perverse,” Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Secretary John Tilley yesterday called for legislative changes that he said could lower the number of state inmates in jails by up to one-third.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (August 24, 2019) – Kentucky State Police announced on Friday August 24, 2019 that three arrests have been made in the Kentucky State Fair investigation involving the discharge of a weapon on Saturday, August 17, 2019.
